Every path is mentored, project-based, and grounded in real deliverables across AI and automation, robotics and hardware, conservation planning, and agronomy. No prior agriculture or programming background is required for most tracks.

Registered, Paid, and Structured
Conservation programs — EQIP, CSP, ACEP, RCPP, CRP — are funded at record baselines, and each obligated dollar needs a conservation plan behind it. Qualified planners are the constraint. Our apprenticeship exists to remove it.
Apprentices work alongside our team on real deliverables using AgriCore and the same tooling we deliver to agencies. This is registered apprenticeship — paid employment with structured on-the-job learning and related technical instruction, not an unpaid internship or a classroom-only course. Adams Career Academy holds the DOL program registration; Avid Solutions International is the employer partner.
Conservation Planning Apprenticeship
Learn to develop conservation plans against NRCS practice standards: resource assessments, soil and site data interpretation, program eligibility, and the documentation federal conservation programs require. Train toward the qualifications that technical service provider work depends on.
AI & Automation Apprenticeship
Applied work on the AI systems behind our platforms — retrieval-augmented generation, IoT data pipelines, and automation built on our enterprise AI stack. Suited to early-career technologists who want production experience rather than coursework.
Internships for Students & Career Changers
Semester and summer internships — paid or for academic credit — that put you on real projects with a mentor from day one. Great for students, recent grads, and people re-entering the workforce.
AI & Machine Learning
Contribute to RAG systems, agents, and ML pipelines on our enterprise AI and GPU-accelerated stack — data work, evaluation, and applied model development.
Robotics & Hardware
Hands-on with our embodied systems — field robots, sensors, and durable medical devices — from prototyping and testing to firmware and integration.
Conservation & Agronomy
Support conservation planning and field-ops work: soil and site data, mapping, and the documentation behind federal program delivery.
Operations & Business
Work across program delivery, government contracting, and workforce operations — proposals, research, and the systems that keep delivery on schedule.
Who should apply
Current students, recent graduates, and career changers. Internships run on a rolling basis in fall, spring, and summer terms, remote or based out of Peoria, IL and Atlanta, GA. We work with your school on credit where applicable.
How to Apply
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. There is no application fee for any path.
Step 1: Confirm You Are Eligible
Most paths require you to be at least 18 and authorized to work in the United States. Registered apprenticeship also requires a high school diploma or equivalent. No prior agriculture or programming experience is required for most tracks. Veterans, career changers, and people re-entering the workforce are encouraged to apply.
Step 2: Send Your Application
Email admin@adamscareeracademy.org with a resume and a short note naming the path you want — fellowship, apprenticeship, or internship — and why. Fellowship applicants should include a short writing sample on an AI/automation topic.
Step 3: Conversation and Skills Review
We talk through your background, interests, and goals, and confirm which path and track fit. This is a conversation, not a technical exam. If a different path suits you better, we will say so.
Step 4: Offer and Onboarding
Successful applicants receive an offer and complete standard paperwork with Avid Solutions International. For apprenticeships, Adams Career Academy then registers you with the Department of Labor. You will have your plan, mentor, and schedule before your first day.
Step 5: Start Earning While You Learn
You begin work on live projects with a mentor, alongside any related technical instruction your path requires. Responsibility grows as your competency does.
